This is my first blog EVER! I wish I would have started this early on in my pregnancy, but oh well. Let me first start by telling you a little bit about myself. My name is Shannon, I am 21 years young, happily married for 7 months now, & this is my husband and I's first child together. We have a 3 year old boy, Ryen, he is my husbands step son, but you would never be able to tell they weren't biological :).
Anywho, I am now 21w1d pregnant with another little boy and so far this pregnancy has been a lot rougher than my first. I was sick everyday for the entire 1st trimester, all day long! Fortunately, I only get nauseous every once in a while now. I've had a lot of aches and pains, and I have a pretty big & painful hernia right above my uterus and under my ribs. My next doctors appointment is on Oct. 30th, and I will find out if I will end up on lifting restrictions. (Not so good news for neither my son nor I). I get easily out of breath, which is no fun when taking care of a rambunctious 3 year old, and also taking care of patients in the nursing home as a CNA.
This week so far; I woke up this morning throwing up for the first time in a long time, but after eating breakfast I feel much better. I am very sore in various parts of my body, but that is partly because of working a 16 hour shift yesterday. I think I have forgotten what a tole pregnancy can take on your body, both physically and emotionally. Normally I could have functioned with one cup of coffee, for 16hrs straight without any moaning or groaning, but yesterday was not that kind of day for me. I'll be more hesitant next time I'm offered the extra hours in one full day. I am going to start blogging every week to update you with information with my pregnancy. :)
