Another New Year.
2014
Happy New Year! I know it's been quite a while since I've updated, but hear I am. Cannot believe another year has come an gone, and even more so, that so much happened in just 12 months time!
January: Became an Army wife.
February: Silas was born.
March: Celebrated 1 year of marriage!
April: I turned one year older.
May: Spent mothers day with not 1, but 2 children.
June: Matt left for Army Basic
August: Ryen turned 4 AND started his first year of school.
September: Matthew graduated from Basic, and got to come home for a while.
October: Bought our very first home and moved in on the 31st!
December: Got our first puppy and had our first Christmas in our first home.
That's a lot for just a short amount of time! We have enjoyed being home owners so much so far, and being parents to two boys has been quite a journey! As far as Army life, we are STILL waiting to find out Matt's leaving date. It will most likely be the beginning of next month. For a while, I actually started to forget that he had to go away again, but now it is starting to hit me which in turn is making me sad. However, I think it is going to be much more tolerable this time around.
As of now, I am looking for a part time job to have some extra money to splurge a little on the things we want. Silas turns one next month, which blows my mind, Ryen will be 5 this year (OMG!) and so many other exciting things to come! Not to mention, there is always a chance of deployment at some point. It's going to be one heck of a year, and I refuse to make any New Years resolutions. Mainly because, for one I like food too much to go on any sort of "diet" and I more than likely won't keep up with any. Instead I will try harder (just like every year) to be a better person. To be a better mother to my children, a better wife to my extraordinary husband, a better sister and daughter to my family, and a better friend to those who need one. Every year trying to be the best you can for not only others, but for yourself, is a resolution in itself, and if you succeed, there is nothing better than that! I wish all of you a wonderful new year, and remember, make the most out of ever single moment of every single day!
