First: My face wash! I recently found this Simple smoothing facial scrub and decided to give it a go, because the one I had been using previously was making my face break out. As a mom, the last thing I want or need is a million bumps on my face. I use this almost everyday! It keeps my face fresh and awake, and most all all feeling clean!
Second: My brows!! I have been using this Milani Brow fix pallet for about a year now. I. Am. Obsessed! It's the perfect shade, it glides on smoothly, the brush is comes with is my favorite because I love how small it is, and the highlighter is absolutely beautiful! Most importantly, it's inexpensive. I don't know about you, but I cannot go out without my brow game. I feel naked without it, and with it I feel put together. You can find this and most Milani products at your local Walgreens or Ulta.
Third: My lashes! This L'oreal Miss Manga mascara is a new discovery for me. I was using L'oreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions mascara for years! And it's probably still one of my favorites, but I decided to venture out for a change. I really like this mascara, it doesn't clump and it makes my lashes look full and long! Makes my eye's look open and awake.
Fourth: Dry shampoo! I do not wash my hair everyday, nor do I have time. I mean, I could make the time, but by the end of the day I just want to get in bed. What can I say, it's the mom in me. Dry shampoo works amazing for that one extra day you decided to go without washing your hair. It hides all the oils coming through in my scalp, and it also gives me some volume. Not to mention, it smells wonderful!
Fifth: My hair! When I do decide to do my hair, I tend to reach for my wand. This is the Bella Beauty wand I purchased at Marshall's for less than $20. It heats up fast and takes me less than 25 minutes to do my hair. And I have a lot of it.
Sixth: When I don't feel like taking the time to curl my hair (or straighten it) bobby pins are my life savor. After having kids, I lost a lot of hair, and now I have a million and one baby hairs growing in place. It's really out of hand and drives me bonkers! So, most day's I throw my hair up into a top knot with an elastic and a few bobby pins to tame those baby hairs. Bam! That took me less than a minute. Also, I hate my hair being in my face, so most day's I do a small french twist or braid in the front and pull in back, and bobby pins are my go-to for that.
Seventh: Baby wipes! If you are a mom, you know these things are a holy grail product for EVERYTHING! I use these to take my makeup off, wipe counters, wipe noses, and of course, butts! But for the purpose of this post, this is what I use in place of makeup wipes. I already have them, and they work just as well, if not better, so no point in spending money on something I've already got.
Eighth: Elf's under eye concealer and highlighter duo. I believe this was only $3 at Target, and it does the job. It doesn't cake up or crease on me, and it surely does wonders at erasing my dark circles and bags. I also use it to spot conceal, hide any small blemishes, the creases of my nose (that's where I tend to get really dry and red), down the bridge of my nose, center of forehead, and chin.
Ninth: Rimmel's Stay Matte pressed powder in translucent. Because my face isn't too bad aside from some redness and random spots, I hardly use my foundation unless it's a special occasion or I have the time to sit down and do a full face. This powder has been the only powder I've used for a lot of years now. It doesn't cake up and it leaves my face really soft. I put this to set my concealer and then brush all over my face for a soft-like affect.
Tenth: Lips! Last but surely not least, my go to lip products! I always have some sort of gloss or lipstick on my lips, my husband absolutely hates it. Only because he hates the way it feels if I kiss him. Me on the other hand, I love the way it feels on my lips, and I don't go a day without it. It pulls my whole face together and makes it look like I spent a lot of time getting ready, when secretly, I didn't. Lately I've had a certain combo I love. NYX Lip Smacking Fun Colors in Strawberry Milk, topped off with Wet n' Wild's Megaslicks lip gloss in Seedless Watermelon.
As a woman, I have so much more confidence in myself and feel better about myself when I take the time to get ready. As a mother, it's nice to know I can still get that feeling in just a short amount of time. Brows, lashes, lips, and I'm ready to go out the door without scaring the world. Believe it or not, I do not look like this everyday though, but it's amazing what 10 minutes and a few products can do to make me feel and look better when I do decide to get ready.
